Part Three The Final Reveal - Build A Line Challenge from B'sue Boutiques by Linzi Alford of MagPie In The Sky

Welcome , well here we are -  it is the third and final hop of the B'sue Boutiques Build A Line Challenge. This is the Final  Big Reveal that all participants have been working up to for the past 3 months under the watchful eye of Brenda Sue our tutor and mentor.
Without further ado I will show you what I have completed for this final reveal.
Hint : click on the images to see larger versions

As you can see I have used segments of my beach photos in the completed pieces. There is so much scope- I can also add to my range  keyrings, bag charms, earrings all matching and with coordinating beads added to make a coherent range
For every one of my set of images I can make the same range of price points with the more expensive bracelet at the top of the price list . SO much scope!

Here are a couple more of the pieces I have completed which are yet to have the rest of the range constructed..

And here is a close up of the Rusty paint bracelet along with the photo that inspired it..

I will finish by reminding you from where I began -  photos and B'sue components!

I still have a LONG way to go with this range- it will be a real biggie with so many variations on the theme but I cannot wait to one day see it all in it's entirety!

All that remains to do is to thank Brenda Sue for her time and effort in creating this challenge, and to wish everyone else all the best with their continued journey as, this is JUST the beginning. I feel we may see a lot of successful lines as a result of this class.

Here is the list of participants- go see what they revealed in their final blog hop of the challenge ! Leave a comment and let them know you visited :)

Part Two - Build A Line Challenge from B'sue Boutiques by Linzi Alford of MagPie In The Sky

My kitty "helpers" are all worn out !

Pretty sure I wouldn't doodle on my own cats paw........
Well here we are for the second hop of the  B'sue Boutiques  Build A line Challenge, where nearly 60 participants have been studying under the guide and tuition of Brenda Sue who is generously sharing her enviable experience in the industry with us all.

To find out more about the challenge click here to go to the B'sue blog post which explains the principles and aims behind the challenge.

During the last month since Blog Hop part one we have all been diligently learning about how a jewellery line is created from one showstopper one- of -a- kind creation through to a marketable affordable line.

We have shared inspirations, had pricing discussions and many other topics- all so helpful.
Brenda made a video  (click here to go to Youtube to watch it)  that for many was a  "Eureka !" moment- it clearly shows how to develop a cohesive line of  jewellery.
These are my most favourite B'sue component ever!

Chain , chain , chain , chain......

I have continued to work on my photo/ resin line -for me it was all about expanding the range to show some of the potential in the design. While they are all variations on a theme, it is such a versatile idea it would be a pity not to investigate the many possibilities- positively RUDE not  to !
I will be investigating how to make some less costly pieces while still staying true to the concept- you better come back again in a month to see the finished results- I will look forward to seeing you then!
Please do leave me a comment below- is lovely to hear from you all.

From Tiny acorns (of ideas ).............

Hello everyone- hope everyone enjoyed Part One of the Build a Line Challenge Blog Hop, kindly  sponsored  and tutored by Brenda Sue of B'sue Boutiques, there was a lot to read  but it was lovely to see everyone's ideas blooming. Looking forward to  Part Two.

I found some old photos of early jewellery that I made today and realised that they are the beginnings of the idea that I am now expanding upon so I thought I would share them with you.

This is a piece I made when studying silversmithing at adult evening classes quite a few years ago. I was a struggling single parent to a young child and had to rely on my neighbour to babysit so I could attend. It was hard work dragging myself out of the house on those dark winter evenings when I was already tired. But totally worth it for the confidence it inspired and the people I met there  and the silversmithing qualification after a year.

This was a supplementary piece for my end of year assessment- the copper  ( was plumbers pipe cut open with snips and hammered flat - I couldn't afford to buy silver even back then when it was  just£11 for a 10cm square! )   ovals are hand cut and rolled through a rolling mill with leaves. You can see the photo section under a glass lens bubble- looks like an interesting idea?

Here is a bracelet I made using bezels with photos set under krylon triple thick spray- waaaaaay before I discovered ICE resin. The krylon worked ok  but did become tacky  with age and then got dirty.  But you can see the idea was brewing....  The photos were from an image that I still use now and it remains one of my favourite photos- the woods and river with reflections (was first up pic on previous blog post)

Here is a close up- you can see I still hadn't discovered how to use headpins and was still constructing my own with a loopy end!

Why not share some of your journey in a blog post- would love to see?
Please leave me a comment so that I know you visited :D
